Foundation For Emotional Therapeutic Counselling- 

The Foundation was registered as a charity in 1993 which means it has to satisfy the Charity Commission as to its aims, integrity and the proper use of its resources.  Recently the Foundation change its name to The Foundation for Emotional Therapeutic Counselling (from the Foundation for Emotional Therapy) which also explains why some of my colleagues prefer to still be referred to as therapists.

National Counselling Society

The National Counselling Society (NCS) was first set up in 1999 by a group of counsellors, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and psychologists. The NCS have been acknowledged as having an important role to play in counselling in the UK.
